City Girl turned Country Girl

Well....I think the city may be all out of me. As my husband said, "I think I may have gotten all the city out of this girl, shes making homemade biscuits from scratch!! Attempting to anyways, I am sure they'll be awesome. I love her". I woke up this am and decided to make homemade buttermilk biscuits and to my amazement they turned out GREAT!!!! I got the recipe from Mommy's Kitchen. Read on to see pics!!!

Quiet Night on the Homefront

It's been a pretty quiet evening. The little ones are spending the night with their Mimi and Jom. My oldest and I have worked on tackling the several laundry baskets full of folded laundry that has been "screaming" to be put away. I have managed to go through the little ones' spring/summer clothing from last year to consign in a few weeks at Second Impressions Consignment. My youngest is going to need some short sleeve shirts. He has an abundance of shorts and no shirts. I can't believe how much my children have grown since this time last year.

Another Saturday!!

Well, so far today has not been that bad. Not as bad as yesterday perhaps. Woke up this am to find my 3 yr old to my right and my 5 yr old to my left and the dog sleeping horizontal across my stomach. Boy, I bet we looked crazy. The little ones woke up at 8 am (on a Saturday really?). What ever happened to sleeping in?

My CRAZY (not so much Perfect) Friday!!!

Well. Today was supposed to have been a normal Friday. Jamie came and crawled in the bed around 5 am. Trey managed to sneak in here sometime during the night after the hubby had left for work. I awoke around 6:20 am to get Jamie and her older brother ready to go to school. Our 3 year old woke up at 6:30 and was raring to go. So, needless to say, it was quite a busy morning after the other two got on the bus. I hopped in the shower around 7:30, hoping maybe I would have time to run to the hubby's work to pick up his paycheck before dropping my yoingest off at preschool. On the way out the door, I noticed my hubby had just gotten home from a long night of work and was exhausted. I thought he had gotten his check when he got off (that would have saved me a trip). But, when I asked him about his check, he asked me what today was. I told him Friday. Or so I thought so anyways.

Today I decided to start writing a blog!!!

Well, I have been thinking about starting a blog for some time now, but between Grad School, being a wife, and a mommy; I just didn't think I had the time. Well, I am going to make time. I think blogging will help me unwind and share with the world my crazy life. So, welcome ALL to the Life of a Couponing Country Chic!!!
